    This example considers the application of analyzing a Wi-Fi router in a building.
    - Example Overview
      This example shows how to define and set up a radio coverage solution in Altair SimLab. The model is a single-storey building with doors and windows, solved using the Dominant Path model (DPM). The model is solved and the results are displayed.

      Before starting this example, ensure that the system satisfies the minimum requirements.

Creating the Floor Plan

Create the floor plan of the building using a sketch. This sketch will be used to create the building geometry.

Important: Watch the video: Create and edit 2D parametric sketch geometry ¹.

In the Assembly Browser, rename Sketch_1 to Floor plan using the right-click context menu.
On the Sketch tab, in the Create group, click the Points/Lines icon and create a rough outline/shape of the floor plan by using multiple lines:

Tip: Exact lengths are not required for this step. Lengths will be specified in the next step using the Dimension tool.
On the Sketch tab, in the Create group, click the Dimension icon. Use the Dimension tool to dimension all the lengths in the model.
