Bulk Data Entry Controls the initialization of contact status in Fast Contact Analysis.

0 (Default)
The final contact status of the preceding subcase with the same boundary conditions are used as the initial status for the current subcase.

Contact status is not inherited between consecutive subcases with the same boundary conditions.

Comments

  1. PARAM, FASTINIT=0 might help reduce the number of iterations for the current subcase and this would not affect the results.
  2. The parameter is valid only for Fast Contact Analysis.
