Altair HyperLife 2025.1 Release Notes
New Features
- Random Fatigue with Seam Welds
- Seam Weld Fatigue extended to support random fatigue loading using OptiStruct results. Seam Weld Fatigue context will list Random (Input PSD with FRF) in Type of Loading. On selecting this loading type, LoadMap will allow fatigue events creation using frequency response subcases with input vibration load. The frequency response subcases from OptiStruct results should have the grid point forces as a prerequisite.
Enhancements
- Options to Control Static Failure Region in Stress Life curve
- HyperLife supports static failure check for Stress Life analysis. The feature is enhanced to support options to control the static failure region of the Stress Life curve. User can define the static failure transition cycles (Nc_stat) or the corresponding stress amplitude (Sc_stat) at Nc_stat. The user defined Stress Life curve is then modified for the static failure check.
- Support of RPC and RSP Format for Modal Superposition
- Fatigue Modal Superposition is extended to include RPC and RSP file formats for reading modal participation factors.
- Multithreading for Seam weld fatigue analysis is enabled
- The multithreading option for seam weld fatigue analysis is available and can be enabled in Evaluate context.
Resolved Issues
- The issue concerning Random/Sine Sweep Fatigue evaluation shows NA results when few elements do not carry base stress results has been resolved.
- The issue concerning the Time Series load history name with special characters has been resolved.
- Licensing error reported to log file during fatigue evaluation of few large models has been resolved.
- Batch evaluation with Sine Sweep analysis not accepting repeats has been resolved.
- Unable to assign different static subcases to different Random Response fatigue events has been resolved.
- Unable to use derived static subcase (by superposition) in LoadMap for Random (Input PSD vs FRF) and Sine Sweep Fatigue loading has been resolved.
- Duty cycle not imported correctly has been resolved.
