Tutorial Level: Beginner Set up simple single-phase water management case using SimLab
for CFD-nanoFluidX solution. The amount and distribution of
water will be analyzed and velocity, and forces will be computed.
The subject of this tutorial is to provide a basic model setup for water management
simulation using SimLab for CFD - nanoFluidX solution. The operations presented are universally
applicable across a large variety of water management cases. The model is referred
to as Tractor cabin.
A shower is created and positioned above the roof of the cabin, and water is poured
at a specific flow rate.Figure 1.
Model Description
The dimensions of the case are: 1.122 x 1.744 x 0.941 m. It is
discretized by 0.003 m resolution.
Domain is created.
Extractors are defined.
Particles are generated.
In this lesson you will learn how to:
Import SimLab Database
(*.slb)
Define SPH flow solution
Create/Check material properties
Position shower
Define domain
Set gravity vector
Define inlet
Define extractor
Create SPH particles
Set Solver settings
Set result request
Run a data check
Run the simulation
Review results
Note: A PDF version of this tutorial is available in the Model Files section.
Prerequisites
To run this simulation, you will need access to a licensed version of SimLab and nanoFluidX.
