Altair One License Features

Altair One License Features describes which Altair Suites and applications are available to you.

Altair One uses managed licenses to run applications. In the SaaS environment, it provides both the applications and the cloud infrastructure, so additional licenses called hardware features are required. These special Altair licensing features are unique to Altair One and cover the use of cloud resources alongside application licenses. Refer to Altair Solver to understand the license usage for solver applications.

The table below lists hardware features—ranging from Compute Base to GPU Premium. These features are considered hardware features and their availability depends on your license suite. Premium features that support high-end infrastructure on Altair One may not be included in all license types. If the features are enabled, you can utilize the infrastructure by checking out a predetermined number of Altair Units.

The availability of these Altair features does not guarantee addition to the customer licenses. Altair One Features which enables HPC access, HPC feature addition to the license is provided after an evaluation and is on a case-by-case basis. To access the HPC features, the following features are required:
  • HWAltairOneUser is required to access Altair Drive.
  • HWGraphicsBase is required for launching remote desktops in the Sessions application.
  • HWComputeStandard is required for submitting a non-GPU jobs in the Jobs application.
  • HWGPUStandard is required for submitting a GPU job in the Jobs application.

* These marked special feature must be enabled by the Sales Admin team for a user. The team must ensure the GlobalZoneAM, GlobalZoneEU, and GlobalZoneAPAC or user's HSTD-All zones features are present in the user's license irrespective of the location.
