- User Interface
  Explore the user interface.
- Adjust the View
  View controls enable you to control the view and display of your model in the modeling window.
  - Rotate, Pan, Zoom, Fit, Center
    Adjust your view of the model in the modeling window.

      The Shared by function finds entities that are shared by two or more selected entities.

  - Change Element and Handle Display Settings
    Change the visual display of elements and handles in the modeling window by configuring the element and handle display settings.

    Use the Section Cuts tool to cut planar or spherical sections through a model.
  - Change Deformation Scaling Value
    Change the deformation scaling value in HyperView.

- Find and Search for Tools
  Quickly find and open the tools and browsers that are available from the ribbons, as well as create entities and solver cards.
- Selection
  Select and deselect entities to modify with other tools. Selected entities are outlined to indicate their selection state.

  Use snap points to help align geometry.

- Define Orientation
  Several tools require you to define a plane or a vector direction to perform a certain function, such as dragging geometry along a vector, spinning it about an axis, or splitting it with a plane. The Plane and Vector tools are used to define and edit planes and directions.

Entities and Solver Interfaces
A solver interface is made up of a template and a FE-input reader.
Browsers
Browsers provide a structured view of model data, which you can use to review, modify, create, and manage the contents of a model. In addition to visualization, browsers offer features like search, filtering, and sorting, which enhance your ability to navigate and interact with the model data.

FE Geometry
FE geometry is topology on top of mesh, meaning CAD and mesh exist as a single entity. The purpose of FE geometry is to add vertices, edges, surfaces, and solids on FE models which have no CAD geometry.

Attached To Function

The Attached to function finds entities that are attached or connected to the selected FE or geometry entities.

For example, finding surfaces that are attached to the selected surfaces.

- Display the next layer of connected entities.
- Find all entities connected to the selected entities. This is equivalent to clicking repeatedly on till there are no more entities that are connected to the selected entities.
- Save the found entities to the user mark. Saved selections can retrieved later by right-clicking and selecting Select > Retrieve Selection from the context menu.

Restriction:

and

are only enabled when the output and input entity types match. For example, finding surfaces attached to selected surfaces.

The Attached to function can also be used to find entities that are not the same as the input entity. For example, Figure 2 shows components attached to the selected connectors are found.
