2D curve: definition (structure)
Definition
The entity 2D curve ( path/ I/O parameter ) is defined by:
- a name and a comment (optional)
- a quantity on the abscissa:
- a path (2D curve : path)
- a variable quantity (2D curve : I/O parameter)
- One or more quantities on the ordinates
Name
The user gives the name permitting the identification of the 2D curve during its creation.
A comment (optional) can be added to the name.
Types of 2D curves
The proposed 2D curves types and the characteristics necessary for their description are presented in the tables below.
| Type | Description | |
|---|---|---|
| Axes of abscissas | Axes of ordinates | |
| 2D Curve (path) | path | Local quantities |
| 2D Curve (I/O parameter) | I/O parameter or time | I/O parameters / sensors |
Particular quantities
The particular quantities calculated on the elementary curves are the following ones:
- The minimum and maximum values
-
The average values: arithmetic average, redressed average, quadratic average
- Integral of the curve
