Questions and Examples

The Materials Copilot helps you quickly find material data, view datasheets, and apply filters using natural language questions. It suggests popular queries, interprets user input, and provides material lists with links to datasheets.

  1. Click in the top-right corner. The Materials Copilot pane is displayed.

    The home screen displays a list of Popular Questions to help you get started.

  2. You can type your own question in the Ask a question... field at the bottom and click Send.
  3. The following example demonstrates this feature:
    1. Enter an example query: Are there any materials from Röhm that I can use for headlamp cover? and click Send.

    2. Materials Copilot retrieves and displays matching results. Each result shows the Material Name, Key Property value, and a Datasheet Link.
      It displays matching search results that suit your requirements.

      These materials are specifically filtered for the headlamp covers from a specific family.

  4. You can ask for more specific materials for example, Are any of these materials available in North America?
    It displays matching search results that suit your requirements.

  5. Materials Copilot understands the context and suggests next actions based on your input.

    In this case it suggests, it can check whether Röhm offers equivalent materials under a different regional brand name (for example, a North American trade name) to confirm local availability. Would you like me to do that next?

  6. If said, Yes, further options are provided.
    In this example, Materials Copilotsuggests Röhm Materials for Headlamp Covers available globally from PLEXIGLAS brand and in North America, Röhm Materials for Headlamp Covers under a different, ACRYLITE brand are displayed.

    It also suggests relevant questions to filter the materials database to review properties, such as Would you like me to retrieve the full datasheet for any of these materials?

  7. It provides further options to apply filters and list the materials in the AMDC database.
