Morphing

New Features

Export Shapes as .h3d files
You can now export shapes as .h3d files. The .h3d file can also be used to animate the shape from the un-morphed to the final morphed state.
Filter Domains Based on Type
The ability to filter domains based on their type (1D, 2D, and 3D) has been added.

Enhancements

Miscellaneous
The ability to map to FE geometry surfaces has been added. Previously, these operations were only available for CAD surfaces.
In the Edit Shape tool, design variable parameter cards can now be automatically created for shapes.
A new option has been added to automatically hide shape visualization during shape import.
Normal direction can now be selected when morphing with solid elements.
Performance Improvements
In free morphing, interactive morphing is significantly faster when you morph with nodes, faces, or edges. The effect is more profound with bigger models.
The performance of the Undo All Morphs tool has been improved.
The Proximity tool is now updated instantaneously for large models. Previously, there was a delay of five seconds.
When using free morph, the time it takes to automatically calculate anchors and morph area has been reduced.
The performance when selecting multiple shapes to animate has been improved.

Resolved Issues

  • Rotating, moving, and zooming inside the Volume tool is no longer slow for large models.
  • The crash when quickly entering and exiting the Free tool has been resolved.
  • Internal handles of solid elements now map correctly to target geometry.
  • Cluster constraint now works with feature selection.
  • Fixed end tangency now works after splitting morph volumes.
  • Various issues regarding smooth constraint have been resolved.
