New Features

New Seatbelt Deformer Workflow
The Seatbelt Deformer workflow allows you to deform the 2D mesh of the seatbelt when this one intersects parts that cannot be considered as wrap around components. The solution is based on a quick embedded simulation.
Below is an example of a seatbelt 2D mesh intersecting with the left lower arm of the dummy:
Figure 1.

Below is an example after deformation of the belt with the left lower arm of the dummy:

Enhancements

Seatbelt Tool

Full-meshed slipring is now allowed for element types *ELEMENT_SEATBELT (LS-DYNA profile only).

A new option in the Seatbeltsystem Entity Editor to turn ON/OFF seatbelt 2D elements re-meshing when seatbelt length changes during interactive modification of the belt path:
Figure 3.

The seatbelt 2D elements are now generated with N1-N2 defined in the length of the belt, ensuring the first orthotropy direction of the webbing material to be oriented correctly:
Figure 4.

Seatbelt Extraction Tool
Tolerance increase to find slipring nodes when those are not perfectly coincident with slipring attachment nodes.
A new option allowing the extraction of a full 2D seatbelt, with automatic recognition of full meshed sliprings:
Figure 5.

Resolved Issues

  • Segmentation error fixed when performing cross-referencing on slipring entity after seatbelt extraction process.
  • Correction in seatbelt extraction tool to extract sliprings properly in case the slipring node and attachment node are not perfectly coincident.
  • Correction in the LS-DYNA dummy model reader to consider the different values of the dyna_pos attribute in the dummy Primer metadata.
